The inhabited dune

 

The project involves the construction of tourism-related services in the seaside resort of Bibione (Venice).

A "inhabited dune" includes in its underground spaces a bar, a small library and an exhibition hall, while on the roof there are various paths to sports facilities and relaxation areas.

A wooden deck extends from the dune, which includes bathing facilities and ends with a platform at sea.

As the course is focused on dry construction, the underground structure is made of gabions, steel pillars and beams and a corrugated metal floor.
